Chalk Paint Coasters



We got an early anniversary gift from my sister-in-law when we were up in Tulsa a couple of weeks ago.  She knows me well, and gave me something she knew I would love.  We tend to put chalk paint on pretty much everything we can, why not coasters?  Such an awesome idea, and one I will copying, as teacher appreciation week is coming up real soon.

These were super easy to make, I just picked up some 31 cent tiles from Home Depot, used a fine sanding paper to roughen them up a bit, and sprayed painted them with chalk paint.  I then used some furniture felt pads for underneath, done!  So easy, and so cute, it will definitely be something different. How about my kids give them with a flower and a chalk paint pen?




This year, we have 5 teachers to give gifts to, so when I come across something nice, and inexpensive, I am all over it.  Here are the tiles before I spray painted them:

  8. I love coasters, and have some of the marbled tiles sitting upstairs in my craft supplies as we speak. Such a great look though! Love how you packaged them together as well. Great job! : )..
